Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
Someone told me long ago theres a calm before the storm,
I know; its been comin for some time.
When its over, so they say, itll rain a sunny day,
I know; shinin down like water.
Chorus:
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin down on a sunny day?
Yesterday, and days before, sun is cold and rain is hard,
I know; been that way for all my time.
til forever, on it goes through the circle, fast and slow,
I know; it cant stop, I wonder.

Elegy to the Memory of an Unfortunate iPod
It has ceased to be, bereft of life, it rests in peace, it has kicked the bucket, hopped the twig, bit the dust, snuffed it, breathed its last, and gone to meet the Great Head of Good Music in the sky, and I guess that we're all thinking how sad it is that an iPod of such talent, such capability and kindness, of such intelligence should now be so suddenly spirited away at the age of only 3, before it'd achieved many of the things of which it was capable, and before it'd had enough fun.
I will never forget all the hours of Music, all the commutes done together, the kilometres traveled, the happiness it made me feel and all the fun we had listening to The Podfather and the Lady Patricia, the laughts with Mike Yoshimoto Nemkov, the many times I cried with Brian & Georgina, the great moments with Fr. Roderik and the guys of "A Way With Words" and the endless night with Dawn and Drew or Anjibee. Now, all that Music all those Podcasts will just stay at home.
Well, my iPod can't do much more for us anymore. It's gone. It is an ex-iPod. All we have of it now is our memories*. But it will be some time before they fade.
In My Life
by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never ever lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Cube Warfare Using Cube Ammo!
Despite many requests from our customers to carry rubber band guns here at ThinkGeek in the past, we've simply never found an RBG product line that worked well enough to warrant toying with. That has changed. The Firewheel is the first RBG we've studied to fix the problems plagued by other RBGs on the market. We think you'll agree. Load up to ten rubber bands at once, and then accurately shoot them off one by one, all at once, or in small bursts. Whatever the moment dictates. Lifetime warranty and some of the cheapest ammo on the planet assures you'll always be able to respond to those lame ambushes from the lemmings in sales...

Podcasting gets little respect from traditional media. To them we're little more than a joke, than amateurs. What they don't understand is that podcasting is more than just a delivery mechanism - it's a social movement. People are sick of the watered-down, cookie-cutter content that networks and record companies expect us to enjoy. People are tired of watching friends and loved ones get sued by record labels who only care about profits and nothing else, not even the artists they supposedly represent.
We want and deserve more. On March 22, 2007, we're going to change that with your help.

It's no secret that some content owners don't seem to understand how the DMCA works—that, or they simply don't care when sending mass takedown notices. This seems to be the case with the recent saga of legal maneuvers between the National Football League (NFL) and Brooklyn Law School professor Wendy Seltzer. The two have been going back and forth with DMCA-related "requests" since early February—with YouTube stuck in between—and in the process, the NFL itself appears to have violated the DMCA.

"To The Lighthouse"
There are books that have helped me to change or shift certain PoVs. TTL was a book quite hard to read; the Ramsays were hard to decipher and the lack of an omniscent narrator makes the whole task even more harder. Jumping from one character stream of consciousness to the other is hard to understand and to folow. But, in the end, the whole book is quite enjoyable and now it's placed next to my favorite books, just on left of my beloved Joyces.
Thanks to Miss Aniela for make remember this book.
"Thank God, it is finally finished"
PS: I think I am going to pull it out from the book shelter.

May you live as long as
There are many good reasons for drinking,
One has just entered my head.
If a man doesn't drink when he's living,
How in the hell can he drink when he's dead?

The Irish Rover
We set sail from the sweet cove of Cork
We were sailing away with a cargo of bricks
For the grand city hall in New York
'Twas a wonderful craft, she was rigged fore-and-aft
And oh, how the wild winds drove her.
She'd got several blasts, she'd twenty-seven masts
And we called her the Irish Rover.
We had one million bales of the best Sligo rags
We had two million barrels of stones
We had three million sides of old blind horses hides,
We had four million barrels of bones.
We had five million hogs, we had six million dogs,
Seven million barrels of porter.
We had eight million bails of old nanny goats' tails,
In the hold of the Irish Rover.
There was awl Mickey Coote who played hard on his flute
When the ladies lined up for his set
He was tootin' with skill for each sparkling quadrille
Though the dancers were fluther'd and bet
With his sparse witty talk he was cock of the walk
As he rolled the dames under and over
They all knew at a glance when he took up his stance
And he sailed in the Irish Rover
There was Barney McGee from the banks of the Lee,
There was Hogan from County Tyrone
There was Jimmy McGurk who was scarred stiff of work
And a man from Westmeath called Malone
There was Slugger O'Toole who was drunk as a rule
And fighting Bill Tracey from Dover
And your man Mick McCann from the banks of the Bann
Was the skipper of the Irish Rover
We had sailed seven years when the measles broke out
And the ship lost it's way in a fog.
And that whale of the crew was reduced down to two,
Just meself and the captain's old dog.
Then the ship struck a rock, oh Lord what a shock
The bulkhead was turned right over
Turned nine times around, and the poor dog was drowned
I'm the last of the Irish Rover

Bloody Friday
Here I am, once again stuck in a train station. Some kind of technical problem and the train gets "canceled". Yes, just like that... and the next one is in more than one hour!
Bloody Friday! First, this morning I had an accident with my bed's edge and my bedroom's door... it bloody hurts and one of my left foot fingers is turning black and bruised.
The the bloody Compaq had her usual crashes and made me lost my all morning work!
For the 'bloody' part, well... while shaving, I cut my nose. A tiny cut, but trust me, I know how to bleed.
And finally, I had a rendez-vous at 19h and, thanks to the SNCF, I won't show up before 20h30.
I just hope I won't break a leg or eat something rotten.
Have a happy FUBAR Friday!

Air Traffic Controllers and Pilots Conversations
Allegedly the German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They, it is alleged, not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206.
Speedbird 206: "Frankfurt, Speedbird 206 clear of active runway."
Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven." The BA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop.
Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?"
Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our gate location now."
Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?"
Speedbird 206 (coolly): "Yes, twice in 1944, but it was dark,... and I didn't land."

Sexerati: Smart Sex.
Just read this, I love the way this episode is introduced:
Here’s a funny story: I met Audacia Ray years ago, back when we were both dating the same loser boy. Since said boy was a loser, he did his best to keep us from being friends. Years later, when we’d both ditched him and moved on to better things, we ran into each other at a show and reconnected. And now she’s one of my favorite smart sex people and a good friend to boot. I got ahold of her recently, and picked her brains about making porn, writing about sex, and being public about your private life.

The Tennessee Waltz
I was waltzing with my darlin', to the Tennessee Waltz
When an old friend I happened to see
Introduced him to my true love, and while they were dancing,
My friend stole my sweetheart from me.
I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz,
Now I know just how much I have lost.
Yes, I lost my little darlin' the night they were playing,
The beautiful Tennessee Waltz.

And I wonder if they miss us,
Now wouldn't that be funny?
Now that we're without them
We can hardly stand ourselves.
Well it's funny when they're here
How we take for granted
The way they taste, the way they feel,
Their sight, their smell, their sound.
And it's funny when they're gone
Just how bad we miss them
And how life can be so empty
When they're not around.
And I wonder if they miss us,
Now wouldn't that be funny?
Now that we're without them
We can hardly stand ourselves.

ayudan a bien morir
